Bio
The Rev. Fr. Daniel Payne (B.A., M.Div., Ph.D.) is an independent researcher whose areas of research include Orthodox theology and religion, politics, and society. He is the author of several articles in such journals as Religion, State, and Society, Sobornost’, Nationalities Papers, Faith and Economics, The Journal of Church and State, and The BYU International Law Review, and the Journal of Ecumenical Studies. He has also authored a book entitled The Revival of Political Hesychasm in Contemporary Orthodox Thought. Additionally, Fr. Daniel serves as an ordained priest at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston, Texas.
